How to make the initial “talking phase” easier and more fun so you don’t waste time and find the right person.

Does the initial talking phase of a relationship frustrate you because it’s tough to know how to ask the deep questions instead of just having fun and following chemistry; and then you don’t know where you stand? In this episode, I interview Russ Haywood, founder of a new app called CanWe: a post-discovery dating app that makes dating more intentional and can take the guess-work out of those initial awkward conversations.

We chat about how to make the talking, “getting to know you phase” easier, more fun, deeper, and more effective at weeding out the wrong people and making dating more fun.

You can check out the app here: https://canwe.app/

Russ has always been fascinated with the question “what’s the right relationship with the right person?” after he shared a concert blanket with a group of friends – including his future wife – two years before he blind dated her, not knowing they’d already met! How much time might they have saved if they’d shared the right clues hidden beyond the small talk?

Former Product Manager at a ERP tech company. A science fiction writer of two novels, Russ is an imaginary systems innovator and a builder of vast coherent worlds. He has a Philosophy BA and Political Theory BA from the University of Minnesota, and an MBA from Hamline University.
