Everyone wants to stay as “in connection” with their partner. When we’re out of connection we might feel distant, anxious, like strangers, or just not “clicked into place.” When we’re in connection, we feel warmth, playfulness, goodwill, and trust.
Being disconnected is especially challenging for people with an Anxious-Attachment style, as it can trigger fears of being abandoned or rejected.
In this episode of the Soul-Shaking-Love Podcast, I interview relationship and intimacy expert Mike Mantell about all of the different ways to reconnect. We had a lively back-and-forth discussion where we brainstormed many strategies to connect across all of the dimensions we could imagine. (i.e. mentally, emotionally physically, spiritually, etc.)
The conversation lasted over an hour and there are many nuggets of wisdom to share.
